Rathbone No.3 - Englemann Spruce/Bocote E/Cut

The Grand-Auditorium shape is the natural evolution of the Concert and Auditorium models. Larger in both lower width and overall depth, the Rathbone No.3 Grand-Auditorium is designed to deliver an extra serving of power from every direction.

Another remarkably good-looking instrument, the Rathbone R3SBCE combines Solid Spruce and highly figured Bocote wood. Similar in its nature to a maple guitar, this instrument is very powerful and offers the player superb projection, filling a room easily, whether strumming or fingerpicking.

The perfect all-rounder, the No.3 has the same scale length as the Orchestra Model but body dimensions closer to a classic dreadnought. The larger body cavity naturally produces greater bass tones, but without sacrificing clarity, and that's the beauty of the Grand-Auditorium. However, a larger body does not mean an unwieldy instrument. Far from it, in fact. The beautiful curves around the waist of the Rathbone No.3 ensure the guitar will sit comfortably on a knee or hang perfectly from your shoulders.
